Welcome to WH Tracey
Our Company

In 1935 William Tracey started up in business as a rag and bone man.The company grew steadily until 10 years ago when after a lull in the domestic market the company began exporting used clothes and shoes.During the last 5 years the company has also started to produce all types of industrial wipers.

In 1994 a large investment allowed the company to transfer to its present 1 acre site and install new plant and machinery to boost production and capacity. In 1998 W H Tracey won the Queens Award to Industry for exporting.

W H Tracey buys surplus clothing from hundreds of charity shops around the North West of England, North Wales and the Midlands. Their many vans are out every day making collections from these shops. When the vans reach the factory they are unloaded onto three 140ft conveyors for sorting by our staff. The garments are sorted by type and checked for quality before being baled and then packed into containers for export. Tracey's handles 140 tonnes of clothing each week of which 60% is exported.

Our export markets are Africa and Europe. We are continually looking for new customers.
